The U.P. Side-by-Side Classic...

is certainly one of the premier venues in this country for side-by-side enthusiasts. Last years inaugeral event was wonderfully planned and coordinated by the organizers.  These guys really know what they are doing!

The competition is real friendly and I don't believe anyone really cared how well the scored. You can get by with just about any gauge gun if your up to it and thats half the fun . The other half is the people,the guns ,the stories , the guns,the laughter and oh did I mention the guns! A feast for the eyes!

"Lots and lots of neat guns came out of the woodwork;

no less than three Woodwards, a two barrel set Boss, a great early Lang Patent Underlever (whose was that anyway). I could go on and on, we were treated wonderfully by the local folks! Kudo's to everyone who worked so hard to put it on. f you didn't come out to play this year, make room on your schedule for next."

In my opinion it is better than the Vintagers and the Southern Side by Side Championships. It is put on by a dedicated bunch of people who are more interested in making sure everyone has a good time than making money. Hats off!
